Saint Agur – French Blue Cheese

Milk: Cow

Origin: France (Beauzac, Auvergne)

Saint Agur is a blue-veined double-cream cheese made from pasteurized cow's milk in the village of Beauzac in the mountainous French region of Auvergne. Produced by Savencia Fromage & Dairy since 1988, this rich, creamy cheese features bold blue veins and a smooth, buttery texture.

Ripened for 60 days in controlled temperature and moisture conditions, it develops a creamy texture with a sharp, fruity yet mellow taste. Its exceptional creaminess allows it to melt and spread easily, making it ideal as a dip for crunchy vegetables, in gourmet sauce recipes, or enjoyed on its own. Slightly piquant yet approachable, it's perfect for both blue cheese lovers and those new to blues.

Pairs well with:

Walnuts, pears, figs, honey, crusty bread, prosciutto, crunchy vegetables, Brouilly, Jurançon, Porto, Chardonnay, Syrah, Banyuls, Sauternes, Cabernet Sauvignon, Belgian-style ales.
